Located in the bustling South Side Shopping Center of Scranton, PA, Alfredo’s Pizza is a standout destination for lovers of authentic Italian and classic American pizza. Known for its robust flavors and generous portions, this beloved pizza restaurant delivers a dining experience that feels both nostalgic and excitingly fresh.
Alfredo’s showcases a richly diverse menu that goes far beyond the standard pie. Their Award Winning Thick Pan Pizza is a must-try, boasting a crispy yet tender pan crust loaded with savory melted cheddar cheese — a unique Pennsylvania twist that elevates every bite. For those who prefer a lighter touch, the Thin Round Pizza offers a perfect balance of gooey cheese and zesty sauce on a delicately thin crust that crisps just right. The Signature Pizza and the hearty Double Crust White Pizza with Broccoli offer delightful variations that satiate every craving.
But Alfredo’s culinary prowess extends well beyond pizza. Their appetizers like the crispy, golden Mozzarella Sticks and the flavorful Calamari Supreme kick off meals with exciting textures and tastes, while the French Onion Soup and Bruschetta provide classic Italian warmth and freshness. For a true taste of Italy, dishes such as Gnocchi, Chicken Marsala, and creamy Penne Vodka showcase comforting, well-crafted recipes that marry rich flavors with a homely feel.
Many visitors have been drawn here by the restaurant’s pop culture fame—thanks in part to references in the hit TV show “The Office”—but it's the genuine quality of the food and friendly service that keep them coming back. Reviewers like Jay Stevens praise the pizza as a “big fan” after their first visit, while loyal diners like Nicole Woodworth count Alfredo’s among their top five pizza spots, emphasizing the irresistibly yummy nature of every dish.
The atmosphere deserves a mention too; Alfredo’s balances an upscale Italian dining vibe with a warm, inviting setting where families, friends, and solo diners alike can relax. With televisions often tuned to the latest soccer matches and the overall energetic yet cozy ambiance, the restaurant crafts a welcoming environment that complements its hearty food perfectly.
Don’t miss finishing your meal with their indulgent Tiramisu, praised by guests as some of the best around—a sweet, creamy finale to a memorable dining experience. Whether you’re in for the signature pan pizza, a decadent calzone, or classic Italian specialties, Alfredo’s Pizza in Scranton is a flavorful journey worth savoring.
First time experience. We went in for the nostalgia, left big fans of the pizza. We went in for a slice and regretted not getting a whole pie. They went above expectations. "The Office" tv show may have boost their popularity, but their pizza is what keeps them in business!!!!
This was our first time up here. We heard about this establishment from “The Office” as many other reviewers have too. We ordered their speciality pan pizza, they use cheddar cheese it is a local PA delicacy just wasn’t our thing. We ordered the round pizza and that was better, pretty greasy but better. The best thing I had was the tiramisu, that I can say was some of the best I’ve had. Only issue I had staff wise was I was never asked for a drink refill, and the stand where they check in orders was right behind me like if I leaned back too far I’d be bumped into. I did see the owners while I was there and they seem pretty friendly. There is office merch of course a bit over priced I think $43 for a sweatshirt but each to their own.
Great place to have the typical American pizza. Not the best pizzas but always with plenty of cheese and heavy dough. The drinks were a bit too small. Awesome service I must say. We wondered how "Pizza by Alfredo" would have been...
We visited Scranton for event and of course had to hit some office location as highlight of the weekend and this was one the ones on our list. We got seated right away. Very upscale looking Italian place with soccer on the TV. Can go wrong with that. We sat down tried there Sicilian pizza did six slices and some fries it was well done and had a good taste to it. I see other comments saying the pizza was greasy but ours wasn't. The staff was mid-level attentive and took care of most of our needs. The decor was a bit dark inside and was just step up from regular Italian place. It was good food and comfortable. We got in and out pretty quickly to move on to our hotel. All together not bad at all if your in the area check it out yourself and see what you think.
Love love love!! The food is delicious. I come here every time I visit Scranton. Definitely in my top 5 places to have pizza. It's so yummy!!!
Delicious pizza. Actually the best pizza I’ve had. It took super long to get to us, like 45 minutes of waiting for 3 pizzas, but in the end it was worth the wait. Unfortunately I didn’t see Micheal Scott and the crew, but still would go again for “The Good Pizza.”
